It is a two part tracking system. The idea behind it….. the normal things you do daily are tracked. When self care is slightly abandoned, it will often show you slipping into bad behaviors prior to you noticing it. The PCI was developed by Patrick J. Carnes and presented in his book, A Gentle Path through the Twelve Steps: The Classic Guide for All People in the Process of Recovery. It breaks out 10 important areas and has you list three activities for each. Track these items daily and correlate your behaviors to the lack of doing these tasks.
